I don't get mad, I just get even!!!!!!

So back right before Easter some of my friends decided to decorate my house for Easter. They used lots of plastic eggs, some pinwheels, green Easter grass, and lots of post-it notes! I thought it was funny after I played a joke on them. I told them that someone else had cleaned it up and I did not see it. They were all mad, then on April 1st I sent an email that said April Fools and told them that I do not get mad I just get even!!! Below are some of the pictures of my house:

This is the house with crazy post-it notes that I could barely reach all over the windows.

This is the gang who had a blast doing this!! Love you guys!! :)

Oh my little fountain (which we moved back in Nov and found some green grass still in it) !!

John aka "Mr Post-it Man" who got his payback in December!!!

Well John had me water his Christmas tree while he was gone out of town, so I had a key to his house. Perfect opportunity for payback!!!! I use the same eggs, pinwheels, and Easter grass that they use but I had to buy new post-it notes!! Eggs and pinwheels where all around the house and post-it notes covered every mirror in the house!! It was so much fun!!!! I had a little help from some good friends!! Below are some pictures from his house:

Ricky, Erica, and Ali right after we finished!! Oh what a fun night!!

This is his bedroom mirror, see I was nice and left him little notes!

This is his bathroom mirror! That was a pain to make the post-it stay on there because it was like a freakin ice burg in the house!
This is his bathroom sink (both sinks looked like this)
This is me looking around the corner at the Christmas tree. (Note the eggs and pinwheels in the tree)
John thanks for being a good sport about it even though you had company coming into town the next day!! Sorry!! :)

So... do you ever feel like just packing up and moving?

Well my best friend moved back to Texas because her husband got a church there. This is her third time moving to TX. The first two were so he could go to seminary there but now she is going to be there a while. We got so use to seeing each other while she was here that it has been really hard this time. I am not sure when I am going to be able to go visit her so I am a little sad. In these times I want nothing more than to pack up and move closer to her.

We have been best friends since 2nd grade (which equals out to 20 years). I am so blessed to have her as a friend. I can talk to her about anything and everything! When we call each other it is like we never quit talking the last time, we just pick right back up and start where we left off. It is wonderful to have someone like that! I am truly blessed and can't wait to she her. Here is a picture of us the night before she moved:

I have had three GOOD friends move away in this last year and it sucks!!!!!! I miss each one of them dearly!!! I am going to make my way to three different states to visit this next year!!! I love all my friends and I am blessed to have each one of you as a friend!!

Getting pulled over!!!!!!!

OK so Friday night when I left work I noticed my head light out. Mom and I went shopping and did not get home until like 11:15pm. I told dad that it was out and I would go get a new light if he could fix it for me. Well he said it might be a few days due to the fact he had to work all weekend. I WAS fine with that until....

I left there house at 11:30pm, I needed to get home and in the bed because I had to get up early for work. Well I was driving home and I passed a cop. I was not speeding or anything, I was being a good little driver! :) Well I did not notice the fact that he turned around until I turned onto Lascassas Pike. He followed me for a while then boom... BLUE lights!!!

He came up to my window and asked if I realized my light was out, I told him that it just happened today. So he asked if there was anything on my license that he should know about(like DUI, suspended, exc..), I told him no sir! Well my took my DL to go and run it through the system and after about 15 minutes I started wondering where the heck he was, I needed to get in bed. I finally spotted him (which is really hard with all the blue lights flashing at night) and another cop had pulled up! I got kind of nervous.

All the sudden they are walking around the first cop car looking into windows with flashlights. I got kinda tickled because all I could think of was that he locked his car on accident. Finally after about 20 or 25 minutes he came back to my car said "Sorry it took so long (with a big grin on his face) I am not going to write you anything but you do need to get it fixed because others might not be as nice as me. Go home, get some rest and have a good one" He was very nice and good looking to, I might add! All I could do was laugh at the fact that I think he locked his car.

Well on Monday morning I get to work I had an email stated 'So you got pulled over Friday night'. It was from a guy that works here who also volunteers at the Sheriffs dept and heard my name over the radio when he called my tags in. I can not even get pulled over without someone finding out about it! :) I thought it was a funny story so I wanted to share it. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Cute picture!!

Last night we had our work Anniversary party at the LP Field Stadium Club House. It was pretty cool there. I had never been to the LP Field before so I thought it was neat. The theme was sports so we all just wore jeans and a team shirt! It was pretty funny to see how everyone dressed. The picture below is Joy, Lisa B (our boss), and me (Ali). I thought this picture was cute and wanted to share it.

Old flings!!!!!!

Ok so I am at work and this lady comes up with some checks to deposit into her account but they are made out to someone else. Well we now have to see the ID of the person that gave her the checks. This is something new since there is SO much identity theft going on these days. Anyways, the name on the checks caught my eye because they are to a guy that I 'talked to, dated whatever you want to call it' in the past. I informed the lady that she would have to come back with him. She was fine with this and off she went. I got a little bit shaky because I had not seen him in about 8 years. So about 20 minutes later here they come. They pulled up in the 2nd lane drive thur and I noticed him kind of looking at me trying to decide if he knew me. I have changed a little bit since last time. I could not decide whether to talk to him or not but the last time I saw him and did not say anything I regretted it so bad. So I asked him if he remember me and he said he recognized my eyes but not really. I told him who I was and he was like OH OK. He told me that he would like to come by sometime later and talk to me and catch up. I totally forgot to mention that I float and am not always here. I told them here at the branch if he comes by just to call me. Who knows if he will ever show up. All I can do is just wait and see!!

Friends at the BEACH!!

Oh how I want to go back! I went to Destin FL on Aug 28th till Sept 3rd!! It was GREAT!! I met up with a friend from work: Susan, her family, and some close friends. I had a great time with them. I spent all day Wednesday at the beach and pool, then that night they invited me to go to dinner with them. I was a fried little Lobster by the end of the day Wednesday. On Thursday we stayed at the pool most of the day because little Ethan did not like the 'nasty' water!

From Left to right: Ali, Jennifer, Susan, Bo and Eric who is holding Molly Kate.

Thursday afternoon a friend from out of town, Aaron, came in and we went to dinner then took a trip to Wal-mart to buy groceries for the rest of the weekend . The rest of our church group got there at about 1:15am Friday morning. We all had a good time just relaxing on the beach and hanging out together. We played games till all hours of the night, went to dinner each night, and had devotions together. It was a fun time. I can't wait to go back!!

BLOGGING!!

OK so ALL of my friends are doing the blogging thing so I thought I would give it a try. I am not real sure how often I will blog but I thought it would be fun because I love looking at everyone's blog. Hope you all enjoy.

CARS! ARRGHHH

So do they have a Head Hunter for buying cars? That is the question of the month. I have the worst luck with cars. So here is my story about my different cars.

The first car I had was a Blue Pontiac Sunbird, a hand-me-down from my brother. He knew that he would be getting a new car when he was 18 so he did not care how he treated this car. So when I got the car it was not in the best condition. The radiator was bad so it would die all the time, no air (or that's what I thought), no emergency brake because he would drive down the rode then pull it up just to have fun. The things we do when we are 16 are crazy. Finally mom decided to get a new car so we traded in mine. So the night before we go to trade it in my dad tells me to go take the car for one last spin around the block. I thought why in the world would I want to that. I was ready to get rid of that car. So I got in it for one last spin and on came the AIR full blast and cold!! The only thing wrong with the air the whole time was that dad had unhooked the fan belt because when the air was on it would over heat the car because of the radiator. Well you would think when we got the radiator fixed dad would have hooked it back up but no he waited until we traded it in!

The second car was a Nissan Stanza, another hand-me-down but this time from my mom. This was a good car! It had air and ran really good, at first. Before I got the car mom was traveling home from Nashville and the car started messing up on her so she did the smart thing and pulled off the interstate and called dad to come get her. Well dad decided to drive the car home even though it was not running well at all. What happened was some belts broke and he got those replaced and we thought everything was okay. I drove the car for about 1 1/2 years until I had enough. This car started dying on me so I took it to the shop and it had a blown headgasett (very expensive to fix). So I decided this time to get a NEW car, no more hand-me-downs.

The third car was a NEW Cavalier. I was so glad to have a new car that I would not have any problems out of it, but boy was I wrong. I had the car for about 9 months and then all the problems started. I would be driving down the rode and the radio would just turn off all the sudden then it would come back on really loud. Weird I know, I thought I was going crazy the first couple of times it happened. So I took it to the shop and it was a something electrical. I thought they had everything fixed but then it happened again. I took it back to the shop, they said the same thing. Then a few weeks later while driving down the rode at night my head lights went out. No head lights at night, not a good combination. The next evening the head lights worked great, no problems. So things like this kept happening all the time. Finally one day I had enough, after I pulled into the driveway and the car died before I got it into park and would not start back up. I think my car was in the shop oh about 30 to 40 times within a 8 month period. The guys at the shop knew me by name at this point. I told the guy that if he did not get things fixed then I wanted a new car because mine was a Lemon (I worked for an attorney and had paperwork already drawn up for this fight). They finally gave me a rental and kept my car for three weeks. They got it fixed this time, for now. Well the car did fine for about a year or so then all the sudden no head lights while driving home from work and they never came back on except for bright but by this time my warranty was up. I had a few different people look at it and could not figure out what was wrong and with the background of the car it was looking as if all my problems were coming back. So instead of paying someone alot of money just to try and find the problem I decided it was time for a different car. So off I went car shopping!

So the fourth car, which is what I have right now, is a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. I bought it used which is the route I wanted to go this time. It has been a pretty good little car for me. I've had the car for almost three years and just now having problems. I drove to Shelbyville to go to work, when I got into town my car acted like it did not want to pick up and go from a stop, so I took it to get the transmission fluid checked and get an oil change. It was overdue for the oil change (about 5 months late) and they said the oil pan was dry and dirty. So after about $80 we finally got everything cleaned out and the oil was good. I had to get this taken care of because I was suppose to drive to Florida for a vacation that I really needed. Well after driving to FL and then back to TN my car did not like me at all. It started shaking 'like a mad woman' so my dad did a "tune up" on it. The tires have what you call cups so he rotated them and changed some other things out too. Well I drove to Smyrna one Saturday morning to go to work and the check engine light came on and I did not think I was going to make it home. The car would not go! My brother gave me his car and kept my car so he could drive it to see what was going on. They tested it at Auto Zone and I had a bad censor. My dad went to pick up the car on Sunday afternoon to fix it and the stupid car was FINE for him. This always happens, dad will take the car and it will not act up for him. He drove it for a few days and the only thing that happened while he had it was it did not want to start for him the first morning and then again that night, but after that no problems.

I am still not real sure about keeping this car because I travel and run around so much that I need a reliable car. I am looking at some different cars right now to see what I want to do. I guess we will see what happens in the next few weeks or months. I will keep you updated! :)
